London Arts Academy

The foundation of London Arts Academy (LAA) is fully supported by University of the Arts London and Chamberlain Educational Services Limited (China). The purpose of establishing London Arts Academy is to cultivate the students who would like to learn more western-style creative thinking in art and design by providing a good creative environment. With the influence of the world’s most creative and dynamic ideas in London, we hope that our student will develop their potentials in creative thinking in our academy, and we believe that with their utmost efforts in art and design, they will create the world’s most celebrated brands in China, and that would drive the developments of the economy and culture in China.

We encourage an awareness of the all-encompassing nature of the subject, awareness of the benefits of experimentation and good practice in various expressive media, and the need to develop a personal approach to producing visual work. These are the main areas of focus through which we want to make the students exploration of art both meaningful and exciting.

We aim to encourage students to directly relate their historical, socio-cultural research and contextual understanding to their studio work. Students gain an understanding of art from various cultures and times. Students ‘feed’ off of new found knowledge and understanding from their personal investigations when they do their studio work. We promote creative thinking, problem solving, reflection and open-mindedness when students are making visual art.

Other aims include the stimulation, encouragement and development of: confidence and enthusiasm, problem solving abilities, organization of abstract ideas into practical solutions.
